Committee Descriptions

Supplier Council

The GFAA Supplier Council plans the annual Trade Show and annual sponsorship & advertising opportunities. The Council works to involve supplier members across all facets of the association including attending events and education. The Council is also tasked with collecting feedback from supplier members to gauge their needs and wants within the association to help their businesses grow.  businesses grow.

Membership Outreach

The GFAA Membership Outreach committee has three main focus areas: event planning and promotion, internal membership engagement, and external community outreach. 

  1. Event planning and promotion includes general promotion for GFAA classes, events, and initiatives; and assisting with the planning of different events throughout the year. 
  2. Internal membership engagement includes connecting with members to get a pulse on what members value and managing GFAA social media.
  3. External community outreach includes identifying and connecting with prospective members and facilitating the charity outreach/MY GFAA Cares initiative.

Government Affairs

Promotes advocacy for GFAA, AANC and NAA, & the PAC’s. Grows awareness amongst the Membership of what these entities do for us and gains support. Responds to Legislative Calls to Action. Promotes and attends AANC Legislative & Education Conference in Raleigh annually, and always keeps Members aware of any pending legislative concerns that may need our action throughout the year.

Education
The GFAA Educational Committee identifies educational needs and implements courses designated to advance careers and knowledge in our industry at the local, state, and national level.

Diversity and Inclusion

Committee members have attended training offered by NAA on these topics, created and continue annually to develop the GFAA Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship, and brainstorms how to better educate the GFAA members in these areas, raise awareness and offers training classes to make us more diverse.
