From avoiding discriminatory language to applying policies consistently and responding confidently to residents and prospects, this seminar blends storytelling, humor, and real-life scenarios to help housing professionals strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and serve every resident fairly.

Terry Ragland has worked in the property management industry for 31 years at the property, regional, and corporate levels. As Regional Vice President of Operations with Asset Living, she oversees management of properties across North Carolina and Virginia. Terry enjoys giving back to the industry from which she has received so much. She teaches National Apartment Association (NAA) designation classes and seminars for associations across the state, serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the NAA Education Institute (NAAEI) and serves nationally on NAAEI’s Curriculum Development Committee.
Locally, she has served as President of both the Triangle Apartment Association and Triangle Apartment Association Education Foundation boards and has served on the Apartment Association of North Carolina Board of Directors. She currently serves on the AANC Education Committee at the state level and serves as a board member for the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Terry graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, is a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS), Certified Property Manager (CPM) and is a licensed Real estate broker in NC.
