GFAA 2025 Year in Review

News and Resources,

Even as 2025 became a year of change across the industry, the Greater Fayetteville Apartment Association remained a consistent and reliable resource for the multifamily community in our region. Throughout the year, GFAA continued to offer a wide range of educational programs, advocacy efforts, member recognition opportunities, industry networking events, and resources designed to meet the evolving needs of onsite teams, managers, suppliers, and industry partners.

Education remained a central focus. GFAA offered NAA’s CAM and CALP programs taught by Mindy McCorkle, along with maintenance training courses in HVAC, Appliance Repair, and multiple NC Certified Pool Operator classes. Leasing professionals benefited from sessions on Fair Housing, Military Orders, Market Analysis, and trainings centered on resident safety, technology, and professional skill development. Statewide AANC webinars also provided additional opportunities for members to access timely, relevant content throughout the year.

The GFAA community continued to connect in meaningful ways. Networking events, Coffee Hours, committee gatherings, Supplier Council meetings, appreciation events for both leasing and maintenance teams, the Annual Meeting, and the Member Holiday Social all created space for relationship-building and collaboration. The association also hosted its most successful Trade Show to date, welcoming a record level of participation from members and suppliers and reinforcing the value of coming together as an industry.

Advocacy remained a strong pillar of our work. Members represented Fayetteville at national events including NAA Advocate in Washington, D.C. and the Rental Housing Advocacy & Legal Summit (RHALS) in Denver, as well as AANC’s Connected Conference here in North Carolina. These opportunities ensured that Fayetteville’s voice was included in conversations shaping policy and legislation at multiple levels.

One of the most memorable highlights of 2025 was the Starlight Awards, where 234 members, partners, and supporters gathered to celebrate excellence across our rental housing community. To have so many teams recognized by their peers was a powerful reminder of the professionalism and heart that define the Fayetteville region. Adding to that momentum, GFAA was also proud to be recognized as an Association of Excellence, reflecting our continued commitment to strong governance, impactful programming, and member value.

Our membership continues to grow as we welcome new apartment communities, management companies, suppliers, and independent rental owners into the association. We are deeply grateful for the support of our sponsors, whose partnership makes an enormous difference in allowing us to expand programming, strengthen events, and enhance the overall member experience.

As we look to 2026, GFAA remains firmly committed to supporting our members with the resources, relationships, and knowledge needed to succeed. We will continue to deliver accessible education, strengthen advocacy efforts, build meaningful connections, and honor the people who make our industry stronger every day.

Thank you for your involvement, your engagement, and your dedication to improving rental housing in our region. We are grateful for your partnership and proud to serve you.
